I’ve trained with Charlie for the past three years, and the transformation in both my physique and performance has exceeded anything I thought possible. As a long-time recreational athlete, I had plateaued, until I started training using Charlie’s method.
Since then, I’ve qualified for the Hyrox World Championships and developed a level of muscular definition, speed and power I genuinely didn’t think I was capable of.
Six years ago, following back surgery, I was told I’d likely never run properly or lift heavy again. Charlie not only challenged that narrative…he dismantled it.

A couple of years ago, I attended my first Hyrox Saturday training session with Charlie. I was quite nervous as I wasn’t sure what to expect, but everybody was so welcoming.
Charlie structures the sessions in a way that suits all abilities, and he goes out of his way to speak to everyone individually; I feel like he really knows his clients and what people are capable of.
Charlie’s organisational skills are second to none – his attention to detail means the sessions run like clockwork, and no two weeks are ever the same. Over 80 people each week are pushed to their limits while having fun and getting fit as a community, encouraging each other and celebrating each other’s wins.
With some “gentle persuasion,” Charlie will push you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to reach your potential.
Just a few months ago, my doubles partner and I qualified for an age group place at the World Championships – an opportunity I never thought possible and still can’t quite believe. I wanted to commit properly, so I asked Charlie for a dedicated HYROX-specific training plan.
Structured endurance work, load management, and targeted intensity have transformed how I train. More endurance-style training that doesn’t put the body under constant stress means I’m fresh for harder sessions. I’ve noticed measurable improvements week on week and am starting to see physical changes in my body.
Charlie listens and adapts every session, taking note of any feedback I have and offering support and guidance whenever I’m unsure about something. I am absolutely loving the process and am very glad I asked Charlie for his help with coaching.

12 months ago we where looking to do our first hyrox race. It was recommended to go along to a gym in Lifton and try there Saturday sessions, run by a guy called Charlie.
We where hooked after the first session. It wasn't long after when we approached Charlie and asked if he would coach us to our first hyrox race. The online coaching works brilliantly, every Sunday charlie loads up two weeks of training sessions, for us, covering everything we need to make us feel confident on the start line of a hyrox race. The training days are well structured and challenging, charlie checks in regularly and ask us to leave a comment after every session so he can monitor and adjust as needed. We done our first hyrox in December, and loved it, and thanks to Charlie's knowledge and guidance achieved a time better then we hoped for. We are stronger and fitter then before, even beating our PBs in local running effects.

Whilst I have had the pleasure of coaching over 150+ fitness racing finishers - I have coached people on the gym floor, face-to-face for 5 years ranging from children with disabilities, older adults, people returning from long term illness, right through to clients taking on their sport on the international stage.
